New 2023 Jeep Compass Interior, Redesign, Release Date – The popularity of the New 2023 Jeep Compass soared with its 2017 model-year overhaul. Sales grew by more than a third in 2023. With the update, the Compass evolved from the outdated first-generation model to a more modern prospect. It now occupies a spot between the Cherokee and Renegade and offers various trims to suit every need.
Every Jeep Compass has a 2.4-liter, inline-four engine that produces 180 horsepower and 175 pounds of torque. The outputs can be driven to the front-wheel drivetrain or all-wheel drivetrain using either a six-speed manual, automatic or nine-speed automatic transmission, depending on which drivetrain you choose. Although Jeep is proud of its SUV-only products, there is intense competition from the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and other competitors in this segment.

New 2023 Jeep Compass Redesign
The New 2023 Jeep Compass looks like a blend of the Renegade’s retro-modern personality and the Cherokee’s aggressive demeanor. It makes for a rugged yet modern-looking compact SUV. The Jeep’s signature seven-slot grille is high mounted and flanked with LED headlights. In addition, most models have an air intake and LED foglights.
All models come with a black lower body and wheel arch, while Trailhawk and Upland Edition models have more aggressive front fascias that better approach angles. The Sport model has 16-inch black-styled, steel wheels and the High Altitude has 19-inch satin granite crystal-painted alloy wheels. The Trailhawk comes with 17-inch alloy wheels to aid in its off-road capabilities.
FWD and AWD models have slightly different dimensions, while Trailhawk trims get more specific dimensions for better off-road capability. The wheelbase for all models is 103.8 inches, with a 173-inch body. The Compass is 80 inches wide with the mirrors included, and the bodywork measures 73.8 inches. There are differences between the drivetrains.
Front-wheel-drive models measure 64.6 inches high and have 7.8 inches of ground clearance. All-wheel-drive versions have 0.4 inches more ground clearance. The Trailhawk stands the proudest at 65.6 inches with 8.5 inches of support while also presenting the best approach/breakover/departure angles of 30.3/24.4/33.6 degrees. FWD models offer only 15.8/21.8/30.8 degrees. The curb weight ranges from 3,184 lbs for FWD models to 3,633 pounds for the 4×4 Trailhawk model.
Although the New 2023 Jeep Compass interior isn’t the most expensive, it’s not the least costly. Even so, the interior is well-designed and durable. The overall build quality is superb, with fixtures and fittings that don’t rumble on the most challenging surfaces. The ergonomically designed seats and the controls are easy to use. The cabin has plenty of space, and the seats are comfortable enough to be used for long periods and daily. The second-gen Compass’s interior has seen a significant improvement in quality over the original. It is now one of these most beautiful Jeep cabins.
New 2023 Jeep Compass Engine
The entire New 2023 Jeep Compass range is serviced by one engine. For the Compass SUV’s weight, the 180 hp, 175-lb-ft naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter four-pot engine feels surprisingly tiny. It’s not the most powerful motor, but it isn’t tricky to use. The selection of gearboxes is partly to blame – there are three options, with the AWD model’s nine-speed automatic being the most troublesome.
It shifts erratically, refusing to select the ninth gear while driving at highway speeds. In addition, the dash displays a change in the number even when the shift paddles are pulled. FWD models have more options, with a six-speed manual being the default. This makes it easier to control the vehicle, and the six-speed auto on FWD models is good, but nothing extraordinary. Although rivals may offer similar powertrains to theirs, they can do it much better.
