New 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Release Date, Specs, Reviews

New 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Release Date, Specs, Reviews – Although the New 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a long-established model, the SUV’s midsize size doesn’t feel as new. The SRT version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee is a bit more potent than its predecessor. The 6.4-liter V8 produces 475 horsepower, which can propel this family-off-roader to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds.

The V8’s powerful, addictive power can take on more terrain than any competitor, such as the BMW X5 M50i or Mercedes-AMG GLE53. The Grand Cherokee’s feature-packed infotainment system is a highlight, as is the generous standard specification. However, the Grand Cherokee isn’t as spacious, and the V8 is extremely thirsty. These flaws can be quickly forgotten if you floor the throttle.

Exterior Design

Although the New 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee blocks aren’t pretty, in SRT specification, it plays the role of an SUV hot-rod. The vehicle features a black grille and headlamp washers with bi-xenon headlamps. It also has a spoiler at the top of the car. The SRT features LED fog lamps, 20-inch alloy wheels in Satin Carbon, and 20-inch aluminum wheels. You can also have a dual-pane panoramic roof.

The SRT is more powerful than the Grand Cherokees. However, the width, length, and wheelbase of the SRT are the same as the Grand Cherokees. The SRT measures 189.8 inches in length, 84.8 inches wide (including side mirrors), with a 114.7-inch wheelbase.

The overall height is 67.9 inches. Ground clearance is 8.9 inches. Approach/ramp breakover/departure angles are 18/18.4/23.1 degrees. The curb weight of the SRT is 5,195 lbs, which makes it slightly lighter than the big-daddy Trackhawk.

The performance Jeep Grand Cherokee comes in ten colors, with Bright White Clear-Coat being the only one that isn’t charged extra. The eight shades available for $195 each include Diamond Black Crystal Metallic, Granite Crystal Metallic Sting-Gray, Billet Silver Metallic Slate Blue Velvet Red, Redline 2 Coat Pearl, and Green Metallic. Ivory Tri-Coat is the most expensive at $595. We recommend Redline 2 Coat Pearl or Diamond Black Crystal.

Interior Design

Is there a better-built and more luxurious SUV interior than the Grand Cherokee? Although the Grand Cherokee’s interior is more elegant than its European counterparts, it is still very affordable. The Grand Cherokee’s sporty, comfortable cabin is acceptable.

The infotainment system, among the most intuitive units available, is also one of the best. Standard gear includes heated front seats and heated rear seats. The SRT comes standard with leather and perforated suede. Overall, the combination of solid materials and sporty touches unique to the performance version makes a great impression.

The New 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee can seat five people, although it does not offer much space. Drivers have a clear view of what’s ahead, although the windshield pillars can sometimes obscure the view from the corners. The eight-way power front seats allow for a lot of adjustment.

A tilt/telescoping steering wheel also helps this. The seats are well-bolstered, and the leg- and headroom for six-footers are excellent. Unfortunately, the middle seat in the rear is not wide enough to accommodate larger frames.

New 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Engine

The SRT comes with a naturally-aspirated 6.4-liter V8, producing 475 horsepower and 470 lb/ft of torque. The engine makes a deep, rich sound and gives the Grand Cherokee SRT plenty of power while making it easy to overtake. It is coupled to an eight-speed Torque Flite automated transmission, which smoothly moves through the engine’s ratios. The SRT is easy to drive, with quick throttle response and minimal turbo lag. The eight-speed Auto is fast to accelerate here. Sport mode adjusts shift mapping accordingly. You won’t find an SUV that offers this much fun.

Standard equipment on the New 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a Blistein adaptive suspension. You can also choose from five pre-configured driving modes: Auto (Sport), Track, Snow, or Tow. The performance SUV isn’t as smooth as the lower-powered Grand Cherokee models due to its larger wheels and sport-tuned suspension. However, it is a much more capable driver.

Although the steering is quite heavy, it’s very communicative and holds onto corners well. When compared to Auto, switching to Sport mode can reduce shift times by up to 50%. Although it’s not as fast as a Porsche Cayenne, BMW X5, or Grand Cherokee, they are far more expensive than Grand Cherokees.

Even though the Grand Cherokee can carry five people comfortably on smooth roads, it can ride rough over brittle surfaces, particularly in Track mode, which initiates a 30/70 torque split. As a result, the SRT is not recommended for use off-road. This version also lacks the Selec Terrain traction management system that was fitted to other Grand Cherokees. Nevertheless, it can still overcome obstacles that would confuse many midsize SUVs.

New 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Release Date And Price

The New 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is priced at $68,395. This price does not include tax, licensing, registration, or the $1,495 manufacturer’s destination fee. Comparatively, the BMW X5 M and the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 are both priced at more than $100,000.
