New 2023 Jeep Renegade Interior, Redesign, Colors – The Detroit-based manufacturer is determined to show that a Jeep can still be a Jeep no matter it is size. This is why the New 2023 Jeep Renegade crossover has been retro-designed. The Renegade shares a platform with the Fiat 500X and offers cute styling in a box-shaped package. It also caters to those who love adventure with all-wheel drive and a Trail-Rated badge. This is serious business in Jeep. No other subcompact is as capable off-road.
However, the Renegade’s ability to conquer the unknown and the excellent infotainment interface bodes well for its ruggedness. A nine-speed automatic transmission is the only option. The powertrain choices are limited, and either the 180-horsepower 2.4-liter turbo engine or the 177-hp turbo motor offers a blatant fault. Can bold styling prevail over substandard hardware in a segment dominated by the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Kona? We aren’t so sure after our extensive Renegade review.

New 2023 Jeep Renegade Redesign
This segment is notable for the Renegade’s retro, cheeky appearance. The Jeep Renegade’s seven-slot grille makes it instantly recognizable. Its rounded headlamps, trapezoidal wheel arches, and plastic cladding give it elegant air. The base model comes with 16-inch black-styled steel wheels. However, upper trims can get up to 19-inch alloys. The range includes standard features such as daytime running lamps and power-adjustable mirrors. As you move through the trim levels, rain-sensing wipers, cornering fog lamps, automatic headlamps, and automatic headlamps become available.
For authentic open-air Jeep experiences, a power dual-pane and removable sunroof are available. The New 2023 Jeep Renegade SUV is subcompact in size, measuring 66.5 inches high, 79.6 inches wide (including the side mirrors), and 166.6 inches long. The wheelbase measures 101.2 inches. The Jeep is slightly larger than the Subaru Crosstrek but smaller than the Jeep Cherokee. The curb weight ranges between 3,161 lbs for models equipped with the 1.3-liter turbo and 2WD to 3,527 for Trailhawk 4WD equipped with the same engine.
The New 2023 Jeep Renegade cabin is unique and has plenty of unusual shapes. Materials are average for this class. There is a mixture of soft-touch plastics with some hard edges scattered around the interior. There is plenty of space, except rear legroom for taller people. The lineup now features dual-zone automatic climate control, while the base model had a more straightforward manual system. You can choose from basic cloth or premium leather, depending on your budget. Depending on the model, the infotainment system can be 7 or 8.4 inches wide.
New 2023 Jeep Renegade Engine
The New 2023 Jeep Renegade SUV isn’t mighty, no matter which engine you choose. The 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine produces 180 horsepower and 175lb-ft torquein the cheaper versions. A 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes up the other engine option. However, all models come with front-wheel drive. In addition, there is an option for a 4×4 drivetrain. Trailhawk, Freedom, Limited, and Upland are all 4×4 and are some of the most capable and rugged subcompacts available.
The turbocharged engine can accelerate from 0-60 mph in nine seconds, while the base 2.4-litre engine will take no more than nine seconds. The Renegade’s slow performance on the road will not be for you if you are looking for an SUV that is more focused on off-road. Jeep’s off-road capabilities are more evident. The Active Drive Low 4×4 system with low range and hill descent control (a segment-exclusive) gives the Jeep a crawl ratio that is 21:1. Selec-Terrain features driving modes for Snow Mud Rock and Snow. The Jeep’s 19-inch wading depth will be helpful on off-road adventures. You can tow the Jeep 4×4 up to 2,000 lbs. Jeep doesn’t recommend FWD models to tow.
