The shifts are well-timed and smooth on the road, which is a nice bonus in a car that’s otherwise not inspiring, if not downright boring when it’s not crawling over boulders or wading through muddied water.

Air conditioning is an option on base models, but you will need to add it for $1,295; higher trims with air-conditioning are available for $1,500. The four-banger can only be paired with the auto ‘box at $1,500.
